This training will use the 12 Goddesses of Yoga as divine archetypes, embodiment guides and portals for breath work, mantra, mudras, movement and reflection.
Each of these powerful goddess represents unique qualities and attributes that can deepen your understanding of self and enhance our yoga practice and teaching skill. The archetypes of the goddesses provide pathways to explore the divine wisdom within yourself. Understanding these deities will enable you to embody their qualities, fostering personal growth and empowerment.
Make your yoga teaching & practice deeper with applied techniques to awaken awareness, knowledge and embodiment of yoga psychology.
The practices used in this immersion are powerful and deep, steeped in the Sri Vidya Tantra lineage of pranayama and meditation, functional movement based hatha yoga, flowing transitions that give space for somatic embodiment & reflective journaling. Participants will be given reflection & connection time to process their own journey with each goddess, and contemplate how they can use her energy for sequencing, class themes, and in private sessions.
There are 36 direct contact hours (for CEU credits) and 36 logged practice and teaching hours in this module. It is important to develop a relationship with each of the goddess archetypes within your own space and allow that quality to steep, so that participants can channel their own voices as teachers.
What is Yoga Psyche Soul?
Goddesses serve as powerful symbols and teachers, representing various aspects of life, nature, and the human experience. Through their stories, we gain insights into our own challenges and triumphs.
Yoga Psyche Soul is learning through the lens of Yoga Psychology and Somatics. To bridge these, we use the 12 Goddesses of Yoga and allow them to serve as powerful symbols, archetypes and teachers. They can represent various aspects of life, nature, and the wide human experience. Through their stories and mysteries of the Goddesses, we gain insights into our own challenges and triumphs. Mythology, ranging from Homer's Odyssey to Red Riding Hood are one of the most timeless ways of teaching about human nature. Myth provides a beautiful bridge between Soma and Psychology.
For centuries, yoga has been understood as a path of awakening—a way of remembering our wholeness through body, mind, heart, and spirit. Yet in today's world, yoga is often reduced to physical postures, leaving many practitioners longing for something deeper.
Yoga Psyche Soul is an invitation to return to yoga as a complete path of transformation.
Over four immersive days, we weave together ancient yogic philosophy, embodied anatomy, somatic healing, mythology, neuroscience, meditation, ritual, and contemplative practice into one integrated experience.
You will begin to experience yoga as a living relationship with yourself.
We will explore the twelve archetypal energies that live within every human being. These archetypes—expressed through the rich mythology of yoga—offer mirrors for our strengths, our shadows, our resilience, and our capacity to evolve.
Through movement, reflection, discussion, and ceremony, you'll begin to recognize these patterns within your own life, opening new pathways toward healing, authenticity, and freedom.
